some love um,some hate um but you have to respect um. I have to say this piece sums up how I feel about my President and his super family! I don’t agree 100% with the man (maybe not even 50%). But I do love and respect him because he is representing how a healthy Negro American family should be. Mr. President reminds us black men that “swag” is NOT GHETTO, but a confidence of leadership and authority balanced with honor and respect. His wife shows that a Negro American Queen can be powerful yet elegant, while commanding yet graceful, and beautiful yet classy. His inspiring Negro princess daughters show our own children how to act regally, seen and not heard, iconic and not ignorant, intelligent and not buffoons. (Yes I used the word Negro American on purpose! for those less initiated “black” is a color -actual the lack of color- in the spectrum while “negro” is a race. I don’t make up the words, I just try to use them properly.) Till this day I still thank my loving father in heaven that I was able to live to see the day that such a great family has been upheld in the eyes of our people.
